Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress is well known for her performance in films and television in the latter half of the 1980s. Bassett has been awarded a variety of honors, including the Golden Globe Award and 16 NAACP Image Awards. She has been recognized for her TV and film performances since the early 1980s. Her accolades are the two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was born in New York New York and raised by an aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. The mother of Bassett had divorced from her father when she was approximately five. Bassett and her younger sister then went into St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was in high school when saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and knew that her dream of being an actor had come true. When she graduated at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned the Bachelor's degree of African American Studies, she was able to obtain a Master's Degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. She dated Courtney B. Vance, another actress from Yale and they got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American studies) in the year 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett is currently working on one of the leading parts as Ramonda in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
